Hardened steel
The AnySharp uses tungsten carbide technology to extend the life of almost all knives. AnySharp works with virtually any blade, including expensive hardened steel blades.
Saw blade
AnySharp even works with serrated knives* (such as bread knives and hunting knives) making it unlike any other knife sharpener, steel or whetstone you've ever used.

No skills required
The optimal angle for sharpening a high-quality steel blade is 20 degrees. AnySharp is preset at 20 degrees to achieve an optimal edge every time. Achieving a uniform angle with a sharpening stone is a skilled task, but AnySharp can deliver professional results to anyone without training.
Hands-free safety
The safety feature of the AnySharp is the PowerGrip suction cup base, which attaches securely to any smooth surface or countertop without tools. Once fitted, each blade can be safely sharpened by hand.
Knife edge protection
If your entire blade is through, your blade edges may be touching as you exit the sharpening tools. The AnySharp has a durable polymer guide blade that is softer than metal and therefore won't damage the metal edge, making it safe for your knives as well.

With a completely dull blade, AnySharp sharpens it at an optimal angle and quickly removes excess metal when you first use it. AnySharp does not work well with strong strokes or too much pressure.
